I shouldn't laugh ...
Vinnie didn't eat very well at 8pm, so at 9:30pm Brian tried to wake him so he could eat again before going down for the night. As part of the routine, Brian lifted Vinnie up over his head and Vinnie let him know what he thought about it when he completely spit up all over Brian. His head, his shirt ... everywhere. Brian had to hand Vinnie over to me and go get a shower. Yes, it was that bad.
Let's hope it was worth it and that Vinnie sleeps for awhile tonight.Comments:daddy: This happened at 10:15 pm, so you can see what sort of priority this website gets.Add a comment:

Vinnie did good with the after effects from the shots. He slept away the remainder of the morning after the shots. He had a low-grad temp most of the day, but it didn't make him too fussy plus I gave him some Tylenol. By the end of the day, the low grade temp was gone and he is doing well the morning.

Vinnie had his 2 month appointment today. He is up to 13 pounds, 3 ounces!! He is 24 inches long and his head is 15 inches around. He is growing like a weed. He is in 75th-90th %tile for both height and weight.
The doctor said that he is doing great and looks great! No concerns.
He then had 3 shots and an oral vaccine. He was rather displeased with the shots, to say the least.Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie was playing in his bouncy seat last night and we witnessed his first example of 'cause and effect'. LOL He figured out if he swung his arms at the hanging toys, they moved and made noises. He was fun to watch as he figured this out and then had fun with the toys.
We tried to get a video of it, but waited too long. He was bored with it by the time we got the camera out and he just stared at the video camera as Brian taped.Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie has had a nice full day today. He started out at Zoobeezi Bay at the zoo (no, he didn't go in the water) and then went to Daddy's work luncheon at the zoo.
Then we came home, showered and got ready in record time and drove to Zanesville to attend Lukie's birthday party. He was such a good boy!Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie spent ALL last night in his crib and he did FABULOUS! Our little trooper will sleep almost anywhere it seems.

Vinnie spent part of the night (okay, mostly the morning) in his crib last night. He was in the bassinette until he woke up at 4:30am. I fed him and then placed him in his crib. He woke up so I turned on his little music player and drifted off to sleep. He slept in his big boy crib until 7:30am.
It was so sweet to go up to his room, peek in his crib and be greeted with a smile.Comments:Add a comment:

VINNIE POOPED!!
Sorry, not much of an update but we are pretty excited as he hadn't pooped since Fri night/Sat morning. Doctor said that anywhere from 7-10 days was still in the range of normal so we were trying not to worry but he was starting to get cranky so we knew it was bothering him.Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie is sleeping well at night. *knock on wood* we had two nights of 11pm-4am sleep time.
And, as I type, Vinnie is taking his first nap in the crib. My big boy looked so tiny in the crib, but he is sleeping better than if he were down here in some contraption.Comments:daddy: You jinxed us! He was up every 2-3 hours last night.Add a comment:

He is a growing boy! I picked up some 3-6 month clothing for late summer/early fall. I decided to put him in one of the sleepers last night to see how close he was to wearing them. It fit?!?!
Today I put him in a 3-6 month outfit today and it fits. Not even bit. It really fits.
Tried another 3-6 month pjs tonight and I think it is official. I can call it. He is into 3-6 month clothing now.Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie went to the pool today for the first time. He didn't get out of his car seat/stroller, but he was at the pool. I was going to share a picture, but I took the camera and left the memory card at home. So no pictures.

Vinnie has been smiling more and more. Sure sometimes it is at people, but other times it is at the skylight or the handle of his carseat. He looks darn cute when doing it though.

Vinnie shows what a trooper he is by hanging tough as Emily, Kristen and I drag him to all of our events.
9am - drop Emily off at soccer camp
9:10am - go to Mommy's doctor's appointment
10am - go to the mall
12pm - pick up Emily from soccer camp
12:05pm - go to Wendy's for lunch
1pm - go to Emily's swim lesson
2:15pm - finally return home
4:30pm - take Kristen to her orthodontist appointment
Vinnie has had a busy, busy day but has not complained at all. He ate at the mall and at swim lessons and had no issues whatsoever. He continues to be a good baby as we take him out and about with us. Hopefully this will continue this week as Emily has soccer and swim lessons every day.Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie attended his first Red, White and Boom! tonight. Friends of ours invited us to watch the performance from their office building, so it was perfect as Emily could enjoy the show and Vinnie's ears were protected.
He did great. Not a peep out of his the entire 2 1/2 hours that we were there. He hung out in the stroller most of the night and then Deb held him during the fireworks and he slept on her.
We got home by 11:15pm (absolutely no problems with traffic) and it took me awhile to wake him up to eat. He ate from 11:30-12am and then SLEPT UNTIL 5 A.M.!!Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie went to the doctor's today for his 1 month check-up. He is growing like a weed (and based on my gardening skills this season, I have a lot of experience in weeds). He is up to 10 lbs 13 ozs. He has grown 2.5 inches longer and his head circumference is 1 inch bigger.
The doctor said that he looks great and is healthy. She checked him out and he grinned right at her twice. Little flirt!Comments:Add a comment:
