I know we are just broken records on this point, but Vinnie is a really, really good baby. The six of us went to the fair yesterday and Vinnie hung with us all day long. Actually, not only hung with us, but was completely pleasant all day long! He napped in the stroller for about 30-45 mins, but that was it for the entire day. But he never lost his smiles and was playful with all of us throughout the day. Never complaining, unless we weren't letting him swipe a ball from one of the game stations.
With the age range of the kids, it is just so nice to have such a pleasant little guy that we can do family things with.Comments:Debbie: And nobody deserves that more than you guys!Add a comment:

Vinnie has escalated the food begging. He no longer begs for food, he just assumes that what is yours must be his. Brian was sitting on the couch eating dinner the other night. The plate was actually sitting on the coffee table and Vinnie walked right up to the plate. As Brian twirled his fork around his pasta and prepared a bite, Vinnie watched intently. And when Brian lifted the pasta filled fork off of the plate, Vinnie leaned in with his mouth wide open. LOL He just assumed that the forkful must be for him. Who else would it be for?

Not much new to report around here. Vinnie is fighting a bit of a cold, so not a lot of cute stories.
But I did remember that I forgot to share that Vinnie learned how to drink through a straw on his last night of vacation last week. He thinks he is pretty cool. And he got his first taste of straight juice (I've always watered it down) when Emily shared a juice box with him. He thought that was pretty darn good!Comments:Add a comment:

Vinnie was an absolute NUT in the water today! He was loving it. He was splashing about and giggling! I would throw him up in the air and let him splash and he would laugh and squeal. He was even jumping off the edge of the pool and I was holding onto him, but letting him go under water and he was still having fun.
Who knew?!?!Comments:Add a comment:

We are thinking that Vinnie is not a fan of vacations. We strap him into the car for hours upon hours. Strike one! We finally stop to sleep on the first night and the hotel doesn't have any pack 'n plays (well, we learned the next morning that they actually do have pack 'n plays, they just don't have night employees with any brains), so Vinnie had to sleep in a drawer on the floor. Strike two!
And then ...Vinnie has not taken to the ocean as of yet. We arrived at Myrtle Beach yesterday and went down to the beach around 4:30pm. No granted, the conditions were awful: he had no afternoon nap and he had sunscreen in his eye. He was pretty much miserable on the walk down.
He did not have any more fun once he got to the ocean. All that WATER that MOVES. And SAND that STICKS to you. Oh it was awful! And the entire time he was rubbing his eye and it was watering. Poor thing. I felt horrible for him. Strike three!
Grandpa finally took him up to the pool and he had fun there, so I was glad that he had some fun otherwise, Vinnie is going to be soured on the whole "vacation" idea pretty early.Comments:Add a comment:
